Using Mother Nature for Winemaking Success! 🍷
Hi, this is Steve from All-in-One Wine Pump! I recently took advantage of mother nature to use cold stabilization while prepping for wine transfers.
🌡️ Temperature Matters!
Before transferring wine with the All-in-One Wine Pump, I let my clean carboys cool off naturally. Sudden temperature changes can cause stress cracks or even complete carboy failure—so proper care is crucial!
🏡 Cold Storage for Natural Clarification
I stored my carboys in a covered shed (10 feet from my deck) for two weeks at 15-40°F. The following grape wines were included:
✅ Frontenac – 1st & 2nd pressing (2017)
✅ Frontenac Gris (2017)
✅ Frontenac Port (2018)
✅ 1 Gallon of Forgotten Cabernet (2017)
✨ Crystal Clear Results!
The wines cleared beautifully, leaving behind tartaric crystals, especially in the Frontenac Gris.
⚠️ Carboy Safety Tip
Always let carboys warm to room temperature gradually before washing to prevent cracks or breakage.
🍾 Bottling Soon!
Stay tuned—we plan to start bottling in the next few days!
