This is Steve from All in One Wine Pump – using mother nature to my advantage !

I brought out clean carboys and let them cool off prior to transferring into them – using the AllinOneWinePump. (This can cause stress cracks within the glass or complete failure of the carboy if not properly cared for)
They were all in my covered shed (approx 10 feet from the deck) for approx 2 weeks between 15-40 degrees F. I had the following wines – all made from grapes – Frontenac – 1st and 2nd pressing (2017)– Frontenac Gris (2017)– Frontenac Port (2018)– 1 gallon of forgotten Cab(2017).
They all cleared very nicely and left out quite a bit of tartaric crystals – mainly Frontenac Gris as shown in one of the pictures.
Please make sure that you let the carboys warm up to room temperature on their own gradually, prior to washing them out. (This can cause stress cracks within the glass or complete failure of the carboy if not properly cared for)

We hope to be bottling within the next couple of days –
